What is the Barber App?
The Barber App helps you find barbers/salons, book appointments, chat and manage everything in one place — as a customer or as a barber.

Can I use the app without an account?
Yes. You can open the app in guest mode and browse barbers/salons. For bookings, chat and favourites you need an account.

How do I book an appointment?
Open "Barbers", choose a barber, pick a service, select date/time and confirm the booking. The appointment then appears under "Appointments".

Can I cancel or change an appointment?
Depending on the status you can cancel appointments. Changes usually go through a new booking or directly via chat with the barber (since many barbers plan flexibly).

How does the chat work?
Once you are connected to a barber (e.g. via profile/appointment), you can use the chat to ask questions, clarify details or discuss times.

What are favourites and how do I save barbers?
Tap the heart icon on a barber's profile/listing. The barber is then saved to your favourites so you can find them again quickly.

I see no services — why?
Services are managed by the barber or salon. If no services have been added or services have been deactivated, the list appears empty.

I am a barber: how do I create services?
Open the "Services" section, tap "+", enter name, duration and price, then save. They are then visible to customers (when "Active" is turned on).

What is the difference between a solo barber and a salon?
  • Solo barber: Services & appointments belong to you alone.
  • Salon: Multiple barbers in a team; services can be managed salon-wide (depending on setup).

How do I join a salon?
If you are registered as a barber, you can enter a join code via "Join salon". You will then be saved as a member of the salon.

Who can add members to a salon?
A salon has one admin (the creator). The admin can admit members via the code and manage team access.

Can there be multiple admins?
By default only one admin is supported (the creator). Members remain members and cannot automatically become admin.

How do I change my profile (name/city/bio)?
In your profile you can edit name, city and description, then save via "Save profile". Changes take effect immediately.

Do I receive push notifications?
If you allow notifications, you can receive updates about appointments/chats (depending on settings and system permissions).

What data does the app store?
Only what is necessary for the features (e.g. profile details, appointments, services, favourites). See the Privacy Policy for full details.

I forgot my password — what should I do?
On the login screen tap "Forgot password?". You will then receive an email to reset it.

I want to delete my account — how does that work?
In your profile under Account → Delete account. Warning: this cannot be undone.

Who is the Barber App for?
The app is for customers who want to quickly find and book a great barber, and for barbers/salons who want to manage their appointments, services and clients digitally.

Does the Barber App cost anything?
The core features are free. Optional premium features may be added later (e.g. extended statistics or tools for barbers).

In which countries does the app work?
The app currently works regardless of country as long as barbers specify their city. The focus is currently on Europe.

Do I need internet to use the app?
Yes. An internet connection is required for login, appointments, chat and updates.

Can I sign in with Google or Apple?
Yes. You can sign in quickly & securely with Apple Login or Google Login.

Why do I have to choose a role after signing in with Google/Apple?
So the app knows whether you are using it as a customer or as a barber. This selection is important for the right set of features.

Can I change my role later?
The role is currently fixed. If you want to switch (e.g. customer → barber), please contact support.

What happens if I don't verify my email?
Without a verified email you cannot log in. You can resend the verification email at any time.

Do I receive a confirmation for my appointment?
Yes. After booking, the appointment appears in your appointments overview and can be confirmed by the barber.

Why is my appointment "open"?
"Open" means the barber has not yet confirmed the appointment.

Can barbers confirm appointments directly?
Yes. Barbers can confirm, cancel or manage appointments directly.

Can a barber create appointments for customers?
Yes. Barbers can manually create appointments for customers (e.g. for phone bookings).

Can I add notes to an appointment?
Yes. When creating an appointment you can add notes (e.g. wishes, special requests).

What are services?
Services are offerings such as haircut, beard trim, wash & cut — each with a duration and price.

Who manages services?
  • Solo barber: the barber themselves
  • Salon: the salon admin

Can services be deactivated?
Yes. A service can be set to "inactive" and is then not visible to customers.

Why don't I see any prices?
If no price is shown, the barber has not yet fully set up the service.

What is a salon in the app?
A salon is a team of multiple barbers who appear and work together.

The app helps with overview and communication. Clarifications about cancellations, delays or absences are generally handled directly between barber and customer.

Yes. The iOS version is designed for iPhone and iPad so you can manage appointments and customer data on larger displays too.

Depending on the maturity of the feature, reviews are part of your profile. Inappropriate content or problematic cases should be reported via support.

What role do members in a salon have without admin rights?
Members work within the salon but do not automatically manage all salon settings. Certain areas remain reserved for the admin.

Such content should be reported via the designated support or reporting features. This applies especially to harassment, spam or inappropriate content.
