2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS and iPadOS app “Debt Tracker”.
The app processes data locally on your device by default. No data is transmitted to servers operated by the controller. Data is only processed outside your device or shared when you actively use features such as export, sharing, iCloud synchronization or device backups.
3. Processed data
Depending on how you use the app, the following categories of data may be processed in particular:
Debt and contract data
For example titles, parties, amounts, due dates, status, partial payments, notes and description texts.
Document data
For example generated PDF files, CSV files, backup files and import files.
Signatures
If you store a signature in contracts, it is stored locally inside the app.
Settings and personalization
For example name, app appearance, accent color, start area, greeting style, PDF design, reminder options, security options and other display settings.
Security data
For example enabled Face ID or Touch ID use and a locally stored hashed PIN value.
Optional system diagnostics
For example anonymized Apple crash reports, if you have allowed this in iOS.
There is no ad tracking, profiling or analytics for advertising purposes.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Processing is carried out for the following purposes:
Providing app functionality
Managing debts, contracts, partial payments, deadlines, PDFs, imports and exports.

Personalization and ease of use
Storing your app settings and display preferences.

Security features
Protecting your locally stored data through app lock, PIN and biometric lock.

Export and sharing features
Carrying out file, import, export and sharing actions actively initiated by you.

Stability and troubleshooting
Use of anonymous Apple diagnostic data where enabled by you at system level.

The legitimate interest lies in a stable, secure and user-friendly app experience.
5. Pro features and in-app purchases
The Pro version extends the app’s functionality, in particular with additional reports, forecasts, planning and radar features, premium PDFs and further comfort and analysis features.
Pro features also process data locally on your device by default. No own developer servers are used for this.
Apple’s privacy policy and terms also apply to the management of purchases, subscriptions, trial periods and restores, because in-app purchases are handled through the App Store.
6. Storage locations and retention
All data is stored locally inside the app sandbox on your device by default.
If you use iCloud, device backups or export features, data may also be included in those storage or destination systems you choose to use.
Data remains stored until you delete it yourself, overwrite it through import, reset settings or uninstall the app.
7. iCloud, backups, import and export
The app offers functions for:
- iCloud import
- iCloud export
- JSON backups
- CSV import
- CSV export
These operations are only performed when you actively trigger them.
Notes:
- An import may replace existing local data.
- Exported or synchronized data may contain personal information.
- Apple’s privacy policy also applies to iCloud.
- The app may be included in device or iCloud backups.
8. PDF, CSV and sharing features
The app can generate content as PDF or CSV files or hand it over to other apps or recipients through iOS sharing features.
These files may in particular contain:
- Entry names
- Parties
- Amounts
- Due dates
- Notes
- Contract texts
- Status information
- Signatures, where available
You decide on the recipient, channel and any further use. From the moment of transfer, the privacy policies of the respective recipient or third-party provider apply.
9. Analytics and crash reports
The app does not use its own analytics or tracking services.
If you have agreed to diagnostics sharing in iOS, anonymized crash reports may be provided through Apple. They are used solely for troubleshooting and improving stability.
10. Third-party services and international transfers
The app does not use its own external tracking or advertising services.
Transfers to third countries can only occur if you yourself send data to an external service, for example via email, cloud services, file sharing or other apps. The privacy rules of the respective service then apply.
11. Data security
Data processing takes place locally on your device.
To protect your data, we particularly recommend:
- Enable a device passcode
- Use Face ID or Touch ID
- Set an app PIN
- Keep iOS up to date
- Store exports and backups securely
The app itself does not operate any own servers for data storage.
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights in particular:

- Erasure under Art. 17 GDPR
- Restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR

Many measures can be carried out directly in the app or in iOS itself, for example deleting, importing, exporting or resetting data.
13. Minors
The app is not specifically aimed at minors, but it does not contain harmful content. Legal guardians should manage device settings, permissions and backups accordingly.
14. Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated, for example due to legal changes or new features. The current version always applies.

Is data sent to the developer?
No. The app stores data locally on your device by default. The developer does not use own servers for this app.
What happens with Pro features?
Pro features also work locally on your device by default. Apple is responsible for purchase and subscription handling.
Is there advertising or tracking?
No. There is no advertising, tracking or advertising profiling.
What about iCloud?
If you use iCloud features, data is synchronized or backed up through Apple services. This only happens when you actively use those functions.
What do PDF and CSV exports contain?
Depending on your app content, exports may contain names, amounts, due dates, notes, contract texts, statuses and signatures.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete entries directly in the app, overwrite data by importing, reset settings or uninstall the app. Data may also remain in device or iCloud backups as long as those backups exist.
